Australian author Max Barry recenty noted that the possible film adaptation of his novel Machine Man looks like being a little closer to actually happening. The deal now has director Darren
Aronofsky (The Wrestler) and writer Mark Heyman (Black Swan) on board. Barry is quietly confident but realises there are still a lot of hurdles to jump over yet. An earlier novel, Jennifer Gvernment, was optioned by George Clooney's production company sometime back in 2002, and that film has yet to get off the ground.
