Film Adaptation of Mao's Last Dancer

Various sources are referring to a "Variety" magazine report that Mao's Last Dancer by Li Cunxin is being filmed by Bruce Beresford. The script has been adapted by Jan Sardi, who previously wrote the screenplay for "Shine". "Mao's Last Dancer" will feature Kyle McLachlan, Bruce Greenwood, Joan Chen and Jack Thompson.
