It's interesting to read the Denton transcript alongside the interview I posted on my blog. In the Denton interview he says that he thought it would have been useful to get the reviews of Ludmila's Broken English while he was writing it. In the Llewellyn interview -- which I taped at The Rocks at the end of March -- he said that he was glad not to have seen the reviews before publication.

No doubt the additional cachet provided by national television -- as opposed to about 100 fans who turned up in The Rocks -- made him slightly more upbeat during the Denton interview.

But in both interviews he said he hadn't read the reviews. I wonder if he has by now...
