There's a piece on Carrie Tiffany in today's edition of The Sydney Morning Herald in which the 40-year-old author is shown photographed with a cup of tea in a garden dressed in a striped, mauve shirt and black cardigan and blue jeans. She says that "I am interested in ideas of masculinity and particularly the Australian male." She also says that part of the inspiration for her book was the time she spent working for the Northern Territory park rangers: "I remebmer being issued with my King Gee small size men's shorts and shirt. They even gave me some Y-fronts."

She is smiling pleasantly and holds a blue cup in her lap. She has a ring on her right middle finger and dark bangs.

Carrie Tiffany appears in the Sydney Morning Herald again today, alongside writers Brian Castro, Brenda Walker, and Kate Grenville. The story alongside the photo is about their being shortlisted for the Miles Franklin Award. Said Grenville: "There's a sense that a cupboard has been opened in the last 20 years that was always closed before in Australian history. We built a big, beautiful armoire and put the uncomfortable parts of our history in there."

Tiffany is seated on a broad window ledge, wearing a black jacket and blue jeans and a pair of heeled, brown, leather boots. The belt buckle looks the same as the one in yesterday's photograph although the jacket is not.
