FUDDY, ISN'D ID?
I've just devised a splendid joke,
That makes me rock with laughter,
Against the City Council folk
   Who lately have been after
Precautionary measures to
   Combat the influenza,
And talk of that they mean to do,
   In one long, loud cadenza.

They're planning this and that, with firm
   Resolve, nor spare expenses.
So that no influenzal germ
   May creep thro' their defences.
And, if the fell disease should poke
A nose within, they'll swot it.
But here's the cream of all the joke:
They've bissed the buzz. I've godd id.
