Letter by Lewis Berger to Brisbane Courier 1932.05.02

2nd May, 1932.
The Managing Editor,
The Brisbane "Courier"
BRISBANE, Q'land.

Dear Sir,

As we are so closely associated with the Sydney Harbour Bridge we thought it fitting to produce some feature in commemoration of its being opened for traffic, and the attached booklet is the result, which, by the way, has met with spontaneous approval by all recipients.

Mr. C. J. Dennis was commissioned by us to write the "Sentimental Bloke's" musings on the structure and we think you will agree that he has made a splendid effort. Seeing that the purport of the poem if of such wide interest we thought you might find room to reprint the verses in your columns and can assure you of our appreciation in the event of your doing so.

As the production is registered it will, of course, be necessary for you to make acknowledgements to us, but we hope that this will not deter you from using the poem as something of interest to your readers.

Yours Truly,
Lewis Berger & Sons (Australia) Limited.

Note:
The poem in question here is "I Dips Me Lid".
